California (March 3, 2009) – Today Solar Shading Systems announces the inclusion of its Interior Roller Shades and custom designed Exterior Venetian Blinds in the beautifully executed Bardessono Napa Valley. Vision and Passion were the two inspirational driving forces behind the new contemporary Hotel, Spa and Restaurant travel haven in Northern California constructed entirely of environmentally friendly materials by enthusiast co-developer and renowned urban planner Phil Sherburne. Nestled in the intimate countryside of Napa Valley, the first of its kind and most energy efficient hotel redefines ecodevelopment - providing harmonious smart design with luxe amenities all 62 rooms and hospitality areas offer renewable high performance products and features, including ecologically custom designed window coverings by Solar Shading Systems. Dedicated to helping create a healthier more sustainable environment with the greenest design possible, Solar Shading Systems embraced the opportunity to deliver to Bardessono ecofriendly, LEED Certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) interior and exterior window treatments. Solar Shading Systems sourced the materials directly from Warema, a manufacturer in Germany, and helped to design and engineer 140 Exterior Venetian Blinds for each hotel room window. The Venetian blinds are masterfully crafted and have a durable silver grey finish. Automation controls allow the blinds to open, close and tilt in a custom designed track system for complete privacy and light control or they can retract entirely and out of view from the inside. Engineered with a motor that integrates with the room’s HVAC system, the intelligent Exterior Venetian Blinds can adjust when the room reaches a programmed temperature. Solar Shading Systems also provided 140 interior manual roller shades that are located in the rooms’ showers and water closets. Solar Shading Systems worked directly with the developers, interior design team and MTM, the high-end luxury lodging management company who contributed operational and development expertise to the project. In addition, Solar Shading Systems provided project management and installation. The Bardessono celebrated its grand opening February 2nd and is currently accepting very sought-out after reservations.
