Motorization & Automation
<- Back to main page

With Solar Shading Systems’ optional state-of-the-art motorization and automation technologies, shades can be raised or lowered automatically— individually, in groups or in combinations of sub-groups— by simply pressing a button.

SSS•50 Series Motorized Lift System. This quiet 110-volt system is mounted on a 1” x 4” board that is completely covered with woven shade material. The motor can lift small to large shades, and multiples of shades. Shades may be mounted on the back of the board with a lined valance (pictured), or in front of the motor for a self-valanced look. Shades are operated with any SSS control — individually, in groups or in any combination of sub-groups.

SSS•40 Motorized Cord Take–Up System. This powerful 110-volt system uses the shade’s existing lift cords on a patented, tapered cone mounted inside an extruded aluminum headrail. Shades up to 240” wide by 180” tall operate trouble free with any SSS control— individually, as a group, or in any combination of sub-groups. Shades re-align when objects accidentally interfere with normal operation.

SSS•501 Programmable, Addressable Infrared Receiver.
This flexible, state-of-the-art receiver is the electronic starting point for our control network. Infrared codes emitted from an SSS transmitter, keypad, automation system or PC operates shades individually, as a group, or in any combination of sub-groups.

SSS•506 Keypad. Shades or groups of shades can be raised, lowered, tilted,
sent to present positions or stopped, all from one keypad. Operate up to 24 shades individually, as a group or in any combination of sub-groups. A cleverly hidden receiving eye allows for remote operation. Use our radio version and add a key pad virtually anywhere, without new wiring.

SSS•560 Radio Interface Add this interface to the SSS•501 network and you have the convenience of an infrared network using radio signals without the need for a receiving eye. You may use infrared and radio controls in the same shade network for even more flexibility.

RS 232 Interface. With this interface and our exclusive Windows-based program, you can operate an unlimited number of shades from your PC. This interface may also be used to integrate your shades with your home automation system. Use our EVENTS calendar to automatically control your shades at pre-determined times.
